Hello, my name is Steve Adams

In Feb. 2008, I moved my family up to Northern California (East of Sac. Area) from San Diego (Work related) and we now call this home. I’m a family man, Husband, Father 3 times, Graphic/Web Designer, and started my own biz in 2000, 316 Design – I enjoy life, my family, Church, friends, my work, and of course Bass fishing.

I’ve been fishing freshwater in So Cal (San Diego) since I was a kid. As I got older I did a lot more Bass fishing (all Large Mouth in San Diego) and even worked at a local San Diego tackle shop for several years. Sometime in the eighties I started fishing Saltwater and eventually spent many years fishing the overnight tuna trips on the sporties and have been on multiple 3 day, & 10 day trips as well. A few years back I did a lot “private boat” trips, most of them were on several 18′ center consoles and a couple of trips on some Yacht’s.

I worked as a deck-hand on several sport-fishing boats out of San Diego during the early to mid-90′s off & on for 6-7yrs and several seasons on a couple Long Range Boats as well. I went to Alaska and fished a season on a Salmon Seiner working the deck and running a skiff. Then when back in SD, I worked another season or two on the Long Rangers. (those years seem to have all ran together) I Had plenty of hours to get my ticket (Capt. Lic.) and was looking to be an owner/operator some day. A lot of the guys that I worked with are now either Capt.’s and/or owner/operators. It didn’t happen for me, long story. (wife, family, etc.)

After arriving in NorCal, I fished Folsom Lake often being that it is only a couple of miles from house and had done pretty good considering I’d just moved into the area,.. But I wanted to fish a lot more so in 2008 I joined El Dorado Bass Club. I fished tournaments with the club for about a year on some of the finest bodies of water in Northern California. Man, what an awesome group of guys and I have learned sooo much! If you’re currently not in a Bass club and want to fish/learn more,.. Look up and join your local Bass club. During that time I feel in love with the Ca. Delta and Clear Lake and wanted to fish more tournaments on them.

In 2010 I signed up and fished all of the West Coast Bass Pro/AM‘s finishing 11th in the top 20 and qualified for the West Coast Bass Classic!.

For 2011 I’m signed up and fishing Angler’s Choice WRL Teams, Delta/Wine region with my team partner Jim Eaton and fishing WON Bass Northern Pro/Am’s as an armature I’ve been fortunate enough to sign up with Greg Gutierrez for all the Northern WON Bass Pro/Am’s and look forward to learning as much as I can.
